Frequently Asked Questions


After August 1st, you will receive an email confirmation with all the information regarding camp policies, times, emergency numbers, and all other important information. 



What to bring

*Sleeping bag, Sheets, Blankets and Pillows

*Personal Hygeiene Items (Soap, Shampoo, Toothbrush/paste, etc)

*Running gear (1 week worth, plus rain gear)

*Running Sneakers (2 pairs)

*Clothing for Nighttime activities (it can get cold)

Forms

All campers must upload or email a copy of their up to date physcial and immunization records. You must also log into your account to complete the camper release form, and the medication authorization forms. Forms are due August 1st.

Mileage

Mileage will vary per runner based on ability, injuries, and training base before camp. Our coaches will work with the athletes and thier high school coaches to determine the right amount running for thier needs. Our goal is have you leave BRC as a stronger, smarter and healthy runner so your 2016 season can be the best one yet.  Running groups will be based on ability and campers can/will be moved between running groups based on staff recommendations.



Non-Running Activities

BRC will include a variety of fun non-running activities including: Swimming,Team Sports, Outdoor Adventure Activities, Guest Speakers, Leadership Groups, Hiking, Campfire activities and more. BRC will provide you with a full summer camp experience while helping you become the best runner possible.



Cabins

All cabins are newly renovated and provide the perfect summer camp experience. The cabins are outfitted with personal storage space for each camper. Each cabin has it's own bathroom and shower facilities. Campers attending the camp with teammates will be in the same cabins.  



Food

All meals are provided onsite in the spacious dining hall. The menu at Berkshire Running Camp has been chosen to provide each athlete with optimal nutrition while training. The kitchen is able to provide alternative meals for any special dietary needs. There will be a small canteen open to campers during free times with various snacks and drinks available for $1. Campers can bring snacks to BRC. There is no refrigeration in the cabins and please be respectful of food allergies.

Arrival and Departure

Drop off time at the start of camp will be between 1:30-3pm. Please do not arrive early than 1:30pm to allow our staff time to get setup and organized for camper arrivals. Campers should arrive dressed in running clothes. Upon arrival please follow the signs and staff to the making area. Campers with prescription medications must check in with the nursing staff after registration. 

Check out on the last day of camp begins at 12:15pm and lasts till 1pm. Please arrive promptly to pick up your camper.

BRC Gear

There will BRC gear available for purchase from the camp store during check in and throughout the week.

​

Transportation to and from Camp

BRC does not provide transportation to our from camp. Campers can NOT drive themselves to BRC.

Medical

There will be a licensed-nursing staff on campus full-time along with a medical center on site in case a camper becomes sick or injured. Emergency services are available at Berkshire Medical Center.

BRC Concussion Policy



Final Registration & Cancellation Policy

Final payments are due to Berkshire Running Camp by July 15th.  The $350 deposit is non-refundable after July 15th.  Cancellations prior to July 15th will receive a FULL refund. Cancellations after July 15th will receive a refund for the amount paid minus the $350 deposit.
